Israeli strikes have killed at least six people in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to the local Health Ministry.

On Sunday, several Israeli strikes targeted different areas of the Palestinian enclave, including a community canteen near al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the center of the besieged territory, where three people were killed. Another person was killed in a drone attack near a police station in Khan Yunis in the south.

The ministry thus recorded a total of six deaths over the past 24 hours, along with 40 injured, according to its latest official report published Monday at midday. The previous day, the same ministry reported six additional deaths and 19 injuries recorded over the preceding two days.

This brings the total to at least 877 Palestinians killed and 2,602 injured as a result of ongoing Israeli bombings and gunfire in the Gaza Strip, despite a theoretical "cease-fire" that went into effect on Oct. 10, 2025.

In total, at least 72,769 Palestinians have been killed and 172,704 others wounded by Israel since the beginning of its genocidal offensive against the Gaza Strip, launched on Oct. 7, 2023, following the Hamas-led operation against Israel.

The Health Ministry, which has also recovered 776 bodies from under the rubble since last Oct. 10, notes that many missing persons are still buried beneath the rubble or in inaccessible areas. Palestinian Civil Defense teams remain unable to operate throughout the Gaza Strip, nearly 60 percent of which is occupied by the Israeli army behind the de facto "yellow line" it has imposed onto the besieged enclave.

Israel and Hamas remain at an impasse in indirect talks aimed at advancing U.S. President Donald Trump's postwar plan for Gaza, which seeks to end more than two years of devastating war.
