Suddenly, at 5 a.m. Tuesday, the ground in Deir Mimas began to shake. The sound of an explosion jolted Lena awake. Residents of this Christian-majority village in the Marjayoun district have grown used to hearing Israeli bombardments and explosions in nearby towns. But this time, Lena immediately realized that Deir Mimas itself — located within the “yellow line” Israel designated as the limit of its buffer zone — had come under attack.Panic quickly spread through the village.
