BEIRUT — The head of the executive body of the Amal movement, Moustapha Fouani, said that "the time for talking is over and has given way to commitment" in the face of Israeli attacks and occupation in South Lebanon.

Speaking at a news conference in Sour, the official from the Shiite movement allied with Hezbollah "reaffirmed the rejection of any concession over a single square meter of Lebanese territory," calling for the immediate withdrawal of the Israeli army, an end to the attacks, and the start of large-scale reconstruction to ensure the dignity of the residents.

He also called for national unity, asserting that "Lebanon can only be governed by consensus and protected by its unity."
