The truce that went into effect overnight from Thursday to Friday in Lebanon is the result of an international and regional agreement. While Tehran opened the door during negotiations with the United States in Pakistan, the process then continued at the regional level, in order to reach a cease-fire in Lebanon and to consolidate the one in Iran.Tehran insisted on linking the Lebanese file to its own, while the United States and Israel clung to separating the two issues.
