BEIRUT — Israeli airstrikes continued Thursday on homes and villages across southern Lebanon, killing at least seven people since overnight, according to our correspondent.
Among the deadly raids: a strike on Zebdin in the Nabatieh district killed a woman and her two sons, one of whom was reportedly a municipal council member; a separate attack on Kfar Sir in the same area killed three people.
Another strike in Harouf at dawn killed one person. In Zawtar al-Charkiqieh, also in Nabatieh, several were wounded.
Attacks have spread to other areas, including Kafra (Bint Jbeil), where a missile injured six people, three critically, and Debbin (Marjayoun district), causing power outages in the surrounding area. Bombardments also struck Hasbaya, the Arkoub region, and Dellafa village at the junction with the Bekaa.
Multiple villages in the Sour district and northern neighborhoods of Khiam (Marjayoun) were also targeted, with ground fighting resuming between Hezbollah and Israeli forces over the past two days.
Hezbollah claimed several rocket and suicide drone attacks on northern Israeli villages and military positions, saying it targeted eastern Haifa, Safed, Even Menachem, Yir’on, Malkiya, Metula, soldiers in Avivim, and Kiryat Shmona twice.
According to the Israeli army, “more than 50” rockets have been fired from Lebanon since morning, with one striking Kiryat Shmona and lightly injuring two people.
