When Lebanon moved to expel Iran’s chargé d’affaires… in 1983
Shafik Wazzan’s government in 1983 accused Iran of interference in Lebanon’s internal affairs and ordered the expulsion of the Iranian chargé d’affaires. The move, however, did not proceed as planned.
