SOUTH LEBANON — Israeli attacks on south Lebanon continued on Monday, with detonations reported between Qantara and Taybeh (Marjayoun district) and in Kfar Tibnit (Nabatieh) and Byout al-Siyad (Sour).
Israeli sniper fire with medium machine guns also targeted the Dayaa neighborhood in Nabatieh Fawqa. In Houla (Marjayoun), Israeli forces set houses on fire and shelled the area, while also carrying out movements inside the village.
Meanwhile, Mansouri (Sour) was subjected to continuous artillery fire. An explosion was heard at dawn, and the Israeli military later carried out bulldozing operations in the same area.
Last night, the outskirts of the Ali Taher ridge and Nabatieh Fawqa were subjected to Israeli phosphorus shelling. Israeli airstrikes also targeted the villages of Mansouri, Byout al-Siyad (Sour), Dohat Kfar Roummane, and the outskirts of Qantara (Marjayoun). Furthermore, the Israeli army carried out four detonations in Sarbine and one in the outskirts of Braasheet (Bint Jbeil).
In parallel with a lack of progress in the negotiations between Lebanon and Israel, the Israeli army's demolitions and attacks have been intensifying in southern Lebanon. Fears of further escalation are on the rise, especially as Israel is reportedly preparing for a potential offensive against the strategic hills of Ali Taher, where Hezbollah fighters are believed to be operating.
