Israel is asking the Security Council and the U.N. secretary-general to "unequivocally condemn Hezbollah," and "designate it as a terrorist organization," and demand its immediate disarmament.

Israel filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council on Thursday, calling for condemnation of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. The move echoes accusations by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar denouncing attacks launched from Lebanon on Israel.Amid open warfare with the party, Israel condemned a campaign of "coordinated and indiscriminate attacks" and demanded international action against Hezbollah.
