The president of Iran's parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, threatened Sunday to destroy vital infrastructure throughout the region if the United States and Israel attack Iran's.

"Immediately after power plants and our country's infrastructure are targeted, vital infrastructure as well as energy and oil sites across the region will be considered legitimate targets and will be irreversibly destroyed," he said in a message posted on X. He warned that such attacks would cause oil prices to "rise permanently."
