BEIRUT — The Israeli army's Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, said on Saturday that "more than 110 Hezbollah positions have been targeted" since the start of the war on March 2, two days after Israel and the U.S. launched a massive operation against Iran.
"Yesterday, the Israeli army carried out several additional waves of airstrikes targeting infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in Beirut and southern Lebanon," Adraee said.
He added that since the beginning of the operation in Lebanon, the Israeli army has been striking Hezbollah's "command-and-control capabilities, as well as its economic resources and weapons."
More than 750 have been killed in Lebanon in almost two weeks of war, most killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa. Some strikes also left casualties in Beirut and its southern suburbs.
The war broke out after Hezbollah fired missiles toward Israel in support of Iran, after around 15 months of cease-fire, which Israel violated on a daily basis.
