Israeli strike targets Red Cross vehicle in Majdalzoun

SOUTH LEBANON — The Israeli army targeted a Lebanese Red Cross vehicle Monday evening that had gone to the town of Majdalzoun (Sour) following a strike on a house, which did not cause any injuries.

According to a statement from the Lebanese Health Ministry, two Red Cross paramedics present at the scene were seriously wounded by the Israeli strike on the vehicle. Our correspondent in the south, meanwhile reported that three paramedics were wounded.

The Health Ministry condemned this attack in a statement, adding that the vehicle was also damaged. "This is the first time since October 2023 that the Red Cross has been the target of such an attack by the Israeli enemy," the statement read.
