Israel carried out a series of heavy air strikes on southern Lebanon last night, in a continuation of its sharp escalation of attacks over the weekend which especially targeted residential areas.
In the district of Nabatieh:
- Strikes on Habboush and Harouf.
- According to a statement from the Health Ministry, contacts via UNIFIL, the Lebanese Army, the WHO, the ICRC and the Lebanese Red Cross made it possible to send a team of rescue workers to the site of the strike on a poultry farm in Yohmor al-Shaqif. Rescue operations carried out there enabled the recovery of the remains of two people killed, eight injured, and three children from the rubble. The victims and people rescued are all Syrian nationals.
In the district of Sour:
- Israeli strikes on Jwayya killed three people and wounded 16 others, according to the Health Ministry.
- An Israeli strike targeted Jwayya at around 1 a.m.
- An Israeli strike on a center belonging to the Islamic Health Committee (Hezbollah's relief organization) in Tayr Debba killed three people and wounded 10 others.
- Israel killed two people in Srifa and two in Debaal.
In the district of Bint Jbeil:
- An Israeli strike on the outskirts of the village of Qalawieh, near the Froun mosque.
