The war in the Middle East has displaced at least 30,000 people in Lebanon so far, the United Nations reported Tuesday.

"Yesterday, according to conservative estimates, nearly 30,000 people had been received and registered in collective shelters. Many more slept in their cars on the side of roads," said Babar Baloch, a spokesperson for the U.N. Refugee Agency (UNHCR), at a press briefing in Geneva.
