A new Israeli strike hit the southern suburb of Beirut on Monday, where the Israeli army said it had "precisely" targeted a "senior official" of Hezbollah in a recent strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
This marks the first strike on this area south of the Lebanese capital on Monday, following a series of bombings that hit the neighborhood overnight in response to a rocket attack by the group toward Haifa.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for this attack, the first since December 2024, a few days after the cease-fire, calling it "revenge" for the assassination by Israel of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
