Saudi Arabia confirmed Saturday that Iran had carried out strikes against Riyadh and its Eastern Province, warning that it reserves the right to retaliate.
Saudi Arabia, which hosts U.S. military bases, "expresses its strongest condemnation of the blatant and cowardly Iranian attacks targeting the Riyadh and Eastern Province regions, which were repelled," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
"In the face of this unjustified aggression, the kingdom affirms that it will take all necessary measures to defend its security and protect its territory, citizens and residents, including the option of responding to this aggression."
