Israeli airstrikes early Saturday targeted several uninhabited areas in the Hasbaya, Jezzine and Nabatieh districts of southern Lebanon, with the army saying it struck Hezbollah infrastructure, including “tunnel entrances.” The strikes came just hours before Israel and the United States launched a military campaign against Iran.

According to our correspondent in the South, five strikes hit the outskirts of Qatrani and Srireh in the Jezzine district, two others targeted Wadi Borghoz, and one struck the heights of Sejod in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region (Nabatieh).

In a statement, former Israeli army Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the army had attacked “Hezbollah infrastructure in several areas of southern Lebanon,” including “launch platforms and entrances to underground tunnels.” He accused the party of “operating within these facilities to rebuild its capabilities.”

Elsewhere, between Friday night and Saturday, an Israeli army quadcopter drone dropped explosive charges in four separate waves on homes and an excavator in Markaba, in the Marjayoun district.
