In Zefta, a village in the Nabatieh district, a newly restored old traditional house has just opened its doors to artists, local audiences, and visitors from afar. On its walls, paintings; in its rooms, equipment ready for various workshops; in its courtyard, benches, chairs, and tables: everything needed to gather, exchange, and share coffee and conversations. In this place, art is not reserved for the elite only: it is intended to be a common practice open to as many people as possible. "We started from a conviction: art is a way of life and should be integrated into daily routines," say Bahjat al-Darwiche and his wife Ghada, collectors and initiators of Zefta Art House.Bahjat el-Darwiche and his wife Ghada, collectors and initiators of Zefta Art House.
