The night from Saturday to Sunday was tense in South Lebanon, two days after deadly Israeli strikes that targeted Ain al-Hilweh as well as several areas of the Bekaa.

In Bazourieh (Sour), a building was evacuated around 9 p.m. after one of its residents received a call indicating the building was going to be targeted, our correspondent in the south reports.

Security forces organized the evacuation and closed the road leading to the building while checking the credibility of the call, which turned out to be a hoax. The residents were able to return home shortly afterward.

The Israeli artillery also fired more than five shells at Beit Lif (Bint Jbeil) between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Around the same time, Israeli drones flew at very low altitude over the Saida district.

After 10 p.m., an Israeli "quadcopter" drone dropped two explosive charges on a house already damaged by previous bombings in a neighborhood east of Mais al-Jabal.

The Israeli army then fired machine gun rounds from a recently occupied site located between Markaba and Houla, toward the first of these two localities in the Marjayoun district. Gunfire from another newly occupied site at Jabal Blat reached the vicinity of Aita al-Shaab (Bint Jbeil).

In the middle of the afternoon, an Israeli army drone dropped a stun bomb near one of the inhabitants of the border locality of Maroun al-Ras (Bint Jbeil), causing no injuries.

The Israeli artillery then fired a shell at the outskirts of Sarda, near the village of Khiam (Marjayoun) shortly after 4 p.m. Around 5 p.m., the Israeli army launched several incendiary bombs on the area between Sarda and Wazzani (Marjayoun).

An hour later, it fired four artillery shells at the old quarter of the village of Aita al-Shaab. No damage has been reported so far.
