The public prosecutor at the North Lebanon Court of Appeal, Judge Hani Helmi al-Hajjar, has initiated proceedings against three people charged of attempting to smuggle a significant quantity of heroin from the port of Tripoli to Australia via Malaysia, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported Monday.
According to NNA, the inmates had concealed the drugs in bottles of oil and juice, but no further information has been provided.
