Gaza's civil defense agency reported that Israeli strikes killed at least 11 people since dawn on Sunday.

Despite a U.S.-brokered truce that entered its second phase last month, Israeli strikes on Gaza continue daily, killing hundreds of people.

Five people were killed and several others injured by an Israeli air strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in Jabalia, northern Gaza, the agency said in a statement.

Five more were killed and several were injured by a separate strike during the early hours in the southern city of Khan Younis, the agency added. An Israeli strike on Gaza City killed one person.

Al-Shifa and Nasser hospitals confirmed they had received the bodies of at least seven people.

A military official claimed Israeli forces were striking in response to an alleged Hamas violation of the cease-fire agreement.

"Crossing the yellow line in the vicinity of IDF troops, while armed, is an explicit cease-fire violation," the official claimed without further details.

Under the terms of the cease-fire, which took effect on Oct. 10, Israeli troops are to withdraw to positions behind a "Yellow Line," though they remain in control of more than half of Gaza.

Gaza's health ministry says at least 601 people have been killed by Israeli attacks since the truce began.
