On Monday morning, there should have been 150 people — "50 patients, with two companions each" — crossing the Rafah border leaving Gaza, compared to 50 permitted to return, according to Egyptian authorities.More than 24 hours later, only 12 people — "five patients and seven companions" — were allowed to leave the Palestinian enclave, with the same number crossing in the other direction, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
