Qatar’s State Minister at the Foreign Affairs Ministry Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi’s visit to Beirut reflects Qatar’s commitment to establish stability across the region.Doha advocates a vision based on the need to put an end to wars and to support states and societies in development and economic terms, in tandem with political and diplomatic backing, as a means of ensuring lasting stability.The visit carries particular significance, notably because of its timing, as the region is undergoing rapid developments.Qatar is playing a mediating role between the Americans and the Iranians to prevent an escalation and expressed its readiness to assist Lebanon, drawing on its relations with the United States, to help ensure the implementation of the cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
