Despite Wednesday's significant Israeli escalation, preparations for the conference to support the army, scheduled for March 5 in Paris, are well under way.Just over a month before the big day, all indications are that a good number of European and Arab countries intend to take part in the event, which, according to our information, will be co-chaired by France, the United States and Saudi Arabia. It is in fact the green light from the latter, recently expressed by envoy Yazid bin Farhan to his Lebanese counterparts, that makes the conference possible, even though all indications are that both the French and Lebanese would have preferred it be held in Riyadh.
