Syria's Defense Ministry announced a four-day cease-fire with Kurdish forces on Tuesday, after an understanding was reached between the two sides on the future of the Kurdish-majority Hassakeh region.
The Ministry announced a cease-fire "from 8 p.m. [local time] ... lasting four days," saying it was part of the agreement between the Damascus government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
