The Portuguese DJ priest drew a multigenerational crowd in Beirut for a night of electronic music and dancing, despite controversial calls to ban the event stemming from religious dogma.

By the time the checkpoints began to accumulate around the venue, it was already obvious that this would be a night like no other at the seaside club AHM. The traffic was slowed to a standstill. Cars were waiting, and little crowds were forming, amongst which were many people in light summer clothing, despite the winter chill, and the club's harsh strobe lights were already in rave mode. The club was packed before the clock even struck midnight. The industrial interior of the venue, with a metal surface on the ceiling shimmering with a wave-like effect and an opening at the back revealing the lined palm trees and brightly lit city in the backdrop, added to the drama of it all.
