An Israeli army drone carried out a strike on a car in the area known as “Meslekh” in the Bint Jbeil district.
The Israeli army said, via its Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee, that it targeted a Hezbollah fighter in the Bint Jbeil district, without providing further details.
Iran: Thousands rally in London in support of protests
Several thousand people demonstrated in London on Sunday in support of the protest movement in Iran, gathering outside the Iranian embassy and Downing Street.
Protesters waved pre-1979 Iranian flags and called for regime change, expressing hope that the current uprising could succeed despite an internet blackout in Iran lasting over 60 hours. Some Israeli flags and symbols of Iran’s former royal family were also seen among the crowd.
More than 2,000 rally in Paris in support of the son of Iran’s former shah
More than 2,000 people marched in Paris at the call of supporters of the son of Iran’s former shah to back the ongoing protest movement in Iran, chanting “No to the terrorist Islamist republic,” AFP observed.
Demonstrators of all generations, including many young people, marched waving flags of Iran’s former imperial regime as well as Israeli flags, but were unable to approach the Iranian embassy in Paris following a decision by the Paris police prefecture.
“Close the mullahs’ embassy, a factory of terrorists,” protesters chanted. “In Iran, people have risen up in the streets, and we Iranians outside Iran are here to show that we are with them and that they are not alone,” Arya, a 20-year-old Iranian student who has been in France since January 2023, told AFPTV.
“This time, it may be different. We are more numerous in the streets (…) Now we are waiting to see what our prince will tell us to do,” he added, referring to Reza Pahlavi, the son of the former shah and an opposition figure in exile in the United States.
Trump briefing on Iran options scheduled for Tuesday, WSJ reports
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to be briefed on Tuesday by senior administration officials on specific options to respond to protests in Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing U.S. officials, according to Reuters.
The meeting will be a “discussion” on possible next steps, including military strikes, the deployment of covert cyberweapons against Iranian military and civilian sites, the imposition of new sanctions on the Iranian government, and the boosting of anti-government sources online, the newspaper said. The White House said it had no comment on the report.
Iranian uprising: US-based NGO reports 490 dead and thousands arrested
According to its latest data sheet compiled from information gathered from activists in Iran and abroad, the U.S.-based human rights NGO HRANA said it has recorded the deaths of 490 protesters and 48 members of the security forces, as well as the arrest of more than 10,600 people.
Son of former shah says he is 'ready to return to Iran' as soon as possible
Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s former shah and a U.S.-based opposition figure in exile, said he is “ready to return to Iran” at the first opportunity and to lead a political transition.
“I am ready to return to Iran as soon as possible. It is already in preparation,” Pahlavi said on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. “My role is to lead this transition to ensure that everything is put in place, with full transparency, so that citizens can freely elect their leaders and decide their own future,” he added.

The explosions were heard as far away as Saida.
Iran uprising: U.S.-based NGO reports death toll at 466
The death toll from protests in Iran has reached 466, according to U.S.-based human rights organization HRANA, Reuters reports.
Meanwhile, Norway-based NGO Iran Human Rights has confirmed the deaths of “at least 192 protesters” since the start of the demonstrations, warning that the actual number could be much higher given the limited information coming out of the country.
Iranian authorities have cut off internet access, making communication with the outside world nearly impossible for over 60 hours.

Kfar Hatta mayor says Lebanese Army inspecting site amid Israeli warnings
The mayor of Kfar Hatta told L’Orient-Le Jour that the municipality had contacted the Lebanese Army to inspect the area and ensure no weapons were present, our southern Lebanon correspondent Mountasser Abdallah reports.
Regarding reports in some media suggesting that a U.N. force (UNIFIL) would accompany the army, even though the area lies north of the Litani River and outside the U.N. force’s operational zone, the mayor clarified that “it is the Lebanese Army that decides on this matter.”

The death toll from protests in Iran has risen to 203, according to U.S.-based NGO HRANA.
Residential area targeted by new Israeli warning had already been threatened last week
The area in Kfar Hatta threatened by the Israeli army includes a large residential complex with at least ten buildings housing more than 600 residents, our correspondent in the region reports.
This is the same area that was threatened last Monday, when a missile fired by the Israeli army failed to explode.
As residents of the affected buildings and surrounding areas evacuated to safer locations, the main road in Kfar Hatta was closed in both directions. Rescue and firefighting teams were placed on alert in anticipation of a possible strike.
“We have evacuated the buildings and moved residents to safer locations. We also closed the road and diverted traffic to secondary routes, while mobilizing civil defense and emergency teams. Now we wait,” said the mayor of Kfar Hatta to L’Orient-Le Jour.

Israeli army call on residents of Kfar Hatta, southern Lebanon, to evacuate ahead of strikes
The Israeli military has called on residents of Kfar Hatta (Saida district) to evacuate before planned strikes targeting Hezbollah “military infrastructure,” saying the aim is to counter “its attempts to rebuild operations on site.”
In a statement accompanied by maps identifying buildings in the area, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee urged people near these sites to stay at least “300 meters away” ahead of upcoming attacks.

Israel says Hezbollah tunnels targeted in strikes
The Israeli army said it targeted tunnels used to store Hezbollah combat equipment in southern Lebanon, spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated.
In recent months, Hezbollah activity had been observed at these sites, which Adraee said constituted a violation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon
Israeli strike repeatedly bombed the Mahmoudieh area in the Jezzine district and also carried out strikes on Wadi Borghoz in the Hasbaya district, our southern Lebanon correspondent Mountasser Abdallah reports.
In addition, Israeli fighter jets flew over Nabatieh, Tal al-Rihan, and the Iqlim al-Touffah region.
The Hebrew-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adree, said on his X account that the military is currently striking Hezbollah “terrorist” infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Samoa opens embassy in Jerusalem

Pope Leo XIV offered prayers for those killed in protests in Iran and in the conflict in Syria during his weekly Angelus prayer on Sunday, calling for dialogue and peace.

New Israeli violations in southern Lebanon
An Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb in the early afternoon on the town of Kfar Kila, in the Marjayoun district, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Separately, an Israeli patrol opened fire near a Lebanese army post in the town of Dhaira, in the Sour district.
Saar says Israel 'supports the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom'
Israel’s foreign minister said on Sunday that his country “supports the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom,” as the Islamic Republic faces its most significant wave of protests in three years.
“We believe they deserve a better future. We have no hostility toward the Iranian people. We have a huge problem … with the regime …, the leading exporter of terrorism and radicalism,” Gideon Sa’ar added in a televised interview posted on his X account.
Iranian president accuses US and Israel of fueling protests
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday that the United States and Israel are seeking to “sow chaos and disorder” in Iran by ordering “riots.”
He called on Iranians to distance themselves from what he described as “rioters and terrorists,” as protests continue in several parts of the country.
Protests in Iran: a human rights NGO reports at least 192 deaths
At least 192 protesters have been killed during two weeks of unrest in Iran, a human rights organization said on Sunday, a sharp increase from the previous toll of 51 deaths.
“Since the beginning of the protests, Iran Human Rights has confirmed the deaths of at least 192 protesters,” the Norway-based NGO said, adding that the toll could be much higher, as several days of internet shutdown have made counting difficult.

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian will address the economic situation and the “people’s demands” in an interview to be broadcast later on Sunday, state television IRIB announced, two weeks after protests linked to the cost of living began.
The interview with Iranian media, already recorded, focuses on “the progress of the government’s economic program” and discusses “recent events and the government’s approach” to responding to Iranians’ expectations, according to the same source.
‘The Islamic Republic will endure,’ says Hezbollah MP Hassan Ezzedine in southern Lebanon
At a ceremony in Deir Kifa honoring Hezbollah fighter Abbas Hussein Mahmoud, killed by the Israeli army on Jan. 6, Hezbollah MP Hassan Ezzedine told the crowd: “The Islamic Republic of Iran possesses the capabilities, the means, and wise and courageous leadership that enable it to overcome any crisis.”
He added that the United States is intervening in the smallest details of what is happening in Iran, “through the voice of its president Donald Trump, and through his announcement that he is monitoring what is happening in the country.”
He also said that the country displays “the behavior of criminal gangs that recognize neither international law, nor organizations, nor institutions, nor the Security Council, nor any other authority.”
He further referred to the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, stating: “This means that America wants to bring the entire world back to the law of the jungle—that is, intimidation, domination, and hegemony by force, falsification, and aggression. They want to subjugate everyone who says no to them. Iran said no to them.”
EU must designate the Revolutionary Guards a ‘terrorist organization,’ says Israel
Israel’s foreign minister said on Sunday that “the time has come for the EU to designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization,” as the Islamic Republic is suspected of violently repressing protests.
“This has long been Germany’s position, and today the importance of this issue is clear to everyone,” Gideon Sa’ar said on X, following talks with German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, who is visiting Israel.
