Qatar-Saudi Arabia meeting on Lebanon

Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met Sunday in Doha with Yazid bin Mohammad bin Fahd al-Farhan, adviser to the Saudi foreign minister in charge of the Lebanese file, who was visiting Qatar, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, as well as developments in Lebanon and coordination between the two countries on this issue.

The Qatari minister reaffirmed his country’s support for Lebanon and its continued solidarity with the Lebanese people, according to a statement.

Members of the “Quintet,” Qatar and Saudi Arabia, are two of Lebanon's prominent donors.

Riyadh has recently joined France and the United States to oversee the organization of an international conference to raise funds for the Lebanese Army, scheduled for February 2026.
