After Berri's victory, Geagea denounces a 'troika'
The Lebanese Forces leader called on President Aoun to "save the elections" by invoking Article 53 of the Constitution to send a letter to Parliament requesting a session dedicated to examining the government’s electoral bill.

Despite sustained pressure from Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri succeeded in convening a legislative session on Thursday that adopted a series of reforms, while sidestepping discussion of the electoral law just months before the scheduled May elections.The outcome marked a setback for Geagea, who said responsibility did not rest with Berri alone.
