BEIRUT — Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Hajjar visited Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport on Monday for an inspection tour of the security measures and procedures currently in place at the facility.
His visit comes ahead of what expected to be a significant rush of Lebanese from the diaspora visiting the country for the holidays, despite a security situation that remains uncertain amid Israel's threat of renewed war against the country while the Lebanese Army struggles to appease Israeli demands for Hezbollah's quick and complete disarmament.
