At least two people have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours during Israeli attacks, with five others wounded and transferred to hospitals, according to the latest update from the Palestinian Health Ministry in the enclave.
Additionally, the body of a third person was found in the al-Waha area, north of Gaza City, local Al Jazeera correspondents reported.
Since the cease-fire went into effect on Oct. 10, the Israeli army has killed at least 379 Palestinians and wounded nearly 1,000 others, according to health authorities. During the same period, Gaza officials have recovered at least 627 bodies buried under the rubble.
In total, the official death toll from the Israeli offensive launched on October 7, 2023, now stands at least 70,369 killed and 171,069 wounded, according to the latest estimates from the ministry, which notes that many missing people remain unaccounted for under the rubble.
