In Jerusalem, Ortagus meets with Netanyahu and Katz before traveling to Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz met Tuesday with Morgan Ortagus, U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy to Lebanon, according to several Israeli media outlets, including Ynetnews. The three met in the Prime Minister's office in Jerusalem.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said he had had "a useful discussion with Ortagus on the situation in Lebanon." He said he told her that "Hezbollah is the one violating Lebanon's sovereignty and that the disarmament of Hezbollah is essential for the future of Lebanon and the security of Israel."

The U.S. envoy is expected in Beirut tomorrow, Wednesday. The Qatari foreign minister is also due to arrive in Lebanon tomorrow.
