Interest from low-cost carriers in Lebanon appears to be growing, as evidenced by recent decisions and operational shifts by several international airlines and their subsidiaries.The list includes Oman’s Salam Air, which will operate a Beirut-Muscat route starting Dec. 4, according to the union leader; Eurowings, a subsidiary of the German Lufthansa Group, which announced in late October the launch of two direct flights connecting Beirut to Prague and Salzburg, in addition to its direct flights to Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stockholm; and Norwegian Airlines, which plans to connect Stockholm to Beirut once a week starting April 2026.
