The lifeless bodies of a man and his wife were discovered Thursday afternoon at their home in Bsharri, North Lebanon.
The man is believed to have killed his wife before taking his own life with a firearm, according to initial findings from the investigation, but these details remain preliminary and not definitively confirmed, our regional correspondent reports.
Security forces immediately went to the scene, cordoned off the area, and opened a full investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy. After on-site examinations, a forensic pathologist went to the hospital to continue the necessary examinations in preparation for the final report.
Meanwhile, authorities are continuing their investigation to determine whether the woman's death was a homicide or if other factors may have been involved.
