“Calm down. I’m still here.” The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, responded Wednesday to reports about his retirement in a video posted on his X account.

“To everyone, friends and critics alike, I say: calm down. I’m still here, I continue to speak on behalf of the army to the Arab media, and I am still carrying out my duties in the service of my army and my country,” Adraee wrote.

“Yes, everyone will eventually reach the day when their mission ends, and that day will come for me too… but later. When it happens, I will announce it myself on my platforms,” he concluded.
