Why Jihad Samad holds firm to his alliance with Hezbollah
The MP for Dinnieh is the last Sunni figure to maintain a close relationship with Hezbollah — a choice he may pay for in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Last week, the Sunni MP for Dinnieh, Jihad Samad, joined the parliamentary delegation of the Amal-Hezbollah alliance during talks with President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to discuss the electoral law. This was a way to show that his long-standing alliance with Hezbollah remains unchanged, despite the increasing polarization regarding Hezbollah and its military arsenal.
