Israeli settlers carried out at least 264 attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank during October, the highest monthly total since the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) began tracking such incidents in 2006.
In a statement, OCHA noted that these attacks, which resulted in several deaths and property damage, represent an average of “eight incidents per day.”
“Since 2006, OCHA has recorded more than 9,600 attacks of this type. About 1,500 of them occurred this year, representing nearly 15 percent of the total,” the UN agency added.
OCHA also reported that 42 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since the beginning of 2025, meaning that one in five Palestinians killed by Israeli forces this year was a child.
