Lebanese Minister of Education and Higher Education Rima Karameh traveled to Sydney to meet her Australian counterpart Jason Clare, as well as the New South Wales Minister of Education, Jihad Dib, who is of Lebanese origin.
The discussions between the two ministers focused on “strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging academic expertise”, as well as the need to “reinforce cooperation between Lebanon and Australia,” according to a statement issued by the National News Agency (NNA).
The Australian federal minister also expressed his intention to visit Lebanon “to gain a closer understanding of the education sector in the country,” reaffirming “the Australian government’s interest in strengthening its partnership with Lebanon in this field.”
