SOUTH LEBANON — The Israeli army swept the outskirts of the locality of Alma al-Shaab (Sour district) on Sunday morning, our correspondent in South Lebanon, reports.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah held the funeral in Sharkieh (Nabatieh district) for one of its fighters, Mohammad Hassan Cheaïb, who was killed Friday when his car was hit by four Israeli drone missiles. According to Israeli military and local sources, Cheaïb was a retired Lebanese soldier and a Hezbollah member involved in arms trafficking.
On Saturday evening, an Israeli drone dropped two grenades toward a fishing boat in Naqoura (Sour district), our correspondent reports.
An Israeli drone also struck an open area on Sunday in the Mahbar neighborhood of the village of Harouf (Nabatieh), causing no injuries, according to our correspondent.
The Israeli army continues its attacks despite a cease-fire adopted Nov. 27, 2024, after more than a year of open war between Israel and Hezbollah.
