20 killed in Israeli air strikes says Civil Defense

The Gaza Civil Defense reported Wednesday that 20 people were killed, including six children, in two Israeli air strikes carried out shortly after midnight on the Palestinian territory.

The new Israeli bombings hit the south and north of the Gaza Strip, said Mahmoud Bassal, Civil Defense spokesman, to AFP. Asked by AFP, the Israeli army said it was investigating the facts reported by Bassal.
