ZAHLE — A man shot his mother and brother in the Hay al-Fikani neighborhood of the village of Rayak, in Zahle district, wounding the former in the knee and the latter in the hip.
The motives for the family dispute remain unclear, but speculation surrounds a disagreement related to inheritance. Security forces responded to the shooting and opened an investigation. A forensic doctor has been appointed and the injured have been transferred to Rayak General Hospital. As for the shooter, he is on the run and being sought by the ISF.
