Israeli army claims to have dismantled an Iranian cell in Syria

BEIRUT — The Israeli army says it arrested members of a cell linked to Iran’s Quds Force during an overnight operation in southern Syria, according to spokesperson Avichay Adraee.“Unit 504 of the Alexandroni Brigade soldiers conducted a nighttime operation during which individuals operating on behalf of the Iranian Quds Force were arrested in the Tall Kodnah region, south of Syria,” the spokesperson wrote on the platform X. The Israeli army has occupied part of Syria since the fall of Bashar Assad's regime last Dec.8, overthrown by a coalition of Islamist rebels.The Syrian foreign minister had stated last weekend that his country was ready to cooperate with the United States to return to the 1974 disengagement agreement with Israel, which had created a demilitarized buffer zone on the Golan Heights....
