BEIRUT — Over a week after the cease-fire ended hostilities between Iran and Israel, the flight schedule at Beirut International Airport continues to evolve according to the decisions of airlines regarding whether or not to resume their service.
Aegean Airlines plans to resume its flights to Beirut, according to a message sent to the travel agencies it works with. The Greek company had suspended its flights following the outbreak of the conflict by Israel against Iran, which disrupted air traffic by prompting several countries to temporarily or permanently close their airspace until the cease-fire took effect on June 24, marking the end of strikes from both sides.
A source within a travel agency indicated, anonymously, that the company Eurowings — a subsidiary of the Lufthansa group — had actually already resumed its flights, whereas it was initially scheduled to do so from July 5.
Middle East Airlines (MEA) announced changes to several flights scheduled for July 2, 3, and 4, due to operational constraints.
