BEIRUT — While U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday, June 25, that he did not believe a new nuclear deal with Iran was “so necessary,” his administration has quietly submitted several proposals to Tehran aimed at resolving the long-standing nuclear dispute, CNN reported.According to the U.S. outlet, indirect communications between Washington and Tehran continued even during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, which ended with a cease-fire announcement on June 24.One of Washington’s proposals would allow Iran to develop a civilian nuclear program, provided it excludes uranium enrichment.
