The Israeli army has congratulated itself on having "achieved a major strategic success and obtained total air superiority in the heart of Iran, reaching all the objectives set for Operation ['Rising Lion'] and beyond," during its 12-day war against Iran, according to a post on X by its Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee.

Now that the U.S. has brokered — and enforced — a cease-fire between the two countries, with all three militaries claiming victory, Israel has detailed what it says are its achievements in the campaign it waged against Iran.

The Israeli army claims to have destroyed "thousands of centrifuges," the devices used in uranium enrichment to separate the chemical components, and 200 missile launch pads, 200, which it says is about half of Iran's total stock.

"Three main nuclear facilities of the Iranian regime were attacked and severely damaged," Adraee's post continues, adding that the army's air force had also bombed research and development centers linked to the nuclear program.

Israel also admits to killing 11 "leading nuclear scientists," which it says were linked to the nuclear weapons program that it claims exists in Iran, contrary to statements from Iranian officials, whose supreme leader forbid such a program, on a religious basis, in 2003, and from the U.S., whose intelligence chief told Congress that there was no proof of such a program.

More than 35 missile production sites were bombed, the Israeli statement continues, more than 80 surface-to-air missile platforms hit, 15 Iranian aircraft destroyed, six airports targeted, "hundreds of members of the Iranian military forces eliminated, dozens of military command centers struck, and more than 30 of the top leaders of the Iranian regime's military and security apparatus were eliminated."
