Iran: Basij paramilitary forces commander killed Monday in Israeli attack

Iranian media reported Tuesday that an Israeli strike the previous day had killed a senior commander of the Basij paramilitary force, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the ideological army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"The commander of the Basij counter-espionage protection forces was killed in an attack by the Zionist regime," the Fars news agency reported, citing a statement from the Guards.
