Pope Leo XIV warned on Sunday against the risk of forgetting the humanitarian emergency in Gaza, a Palestinian territory devastated and starved by over 20 months of war.

"In this dramatic context involving Israel and Palestine, the daily suffering of the populations risks being forgotten, particularly in Gaza and other territories, where the urgency of adequate humanitarian aid is becoming increasingly pressing," he stated.
