The military escalation in the Middle East risks triggering a "war with irreversible consequences," the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross said Sunday following U.S. strikes on several Iranian nuclear sites.
"The intensification and expansion of major military operations in the Middle East risk plunging the region, and the world, into a war with irreversible consequences," said Mirjana Spoljaric, president of the ICRC, in a statement.
