The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen said Sunday they consider the U.S. strikes a "declaration of war" against the Iranian people.

"The aggression of the reckless Trump administration against three Iranian nuclear sites is a blatant declaration of war against the brotherly Iranian people," the Houthi government said in a statement, adding that its armed forces were ready "to target American ships and buildings in the Red Sea."
