BEIRUT —The Lebanese national airline, Middle East Airlines (MEA), announced Thursday several new adjustments to its schedules due to airspace closures in the region, further adding additional round-trip connections from Beirut International Airport (BIA) to Paris, France, on Sunday, June 22, and to Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Since Friday and the Israeli attack on Iran, which launched the war between Tehran and Tel-Aviv, many airlines have suspended their flights to Beirut, and Lebanese airspace was temporarily closed two nights in a row over the weekend, as well as those of other countries in the region, due to the exchange of missiles and the passage of drones and planes between the two non-bordering powers.
Regarding the addition of flights with Egypt and France, flight ME1209 will leave Beirut at 7:00 a.m. (local) and arrive in Paris at 10:40 a.m. The return flight, ME1210, will leave Paris at 11:40 a.m. to land in Beirut at 4:55 p.m. (local).
On Wednesday, flight ME1304 will leave Cairo at 10:45 a.m. and arrive in Beirut at 12:05 p.m. (local). Flight ME1305 will then take off from the Lebanese capital at 1:05 p.m. to arrive in Cairo at 2:20 p.m. The company specified that these flights are open to all passengers, while giving priority to those with unused tickets who were unable to travel on previous days.
Flights to and from Baghdad still suspended
MEA specified that flights between Beirut and Baghdad scheduled for Friday, June 20, remain suspended due to the ongoing closure of Iraqi airspace, which has lasted since Friday.
The company also announced the advancement of some departure times for flights to Jordan and the Gulf from June 20 to 23. A decision made "due to changes in some air corridors leading to longer flight times" following disruptions caused by the conflict between Iran and Israel.
The affected flights are as follows:

Flight ME 310 to Amman will depart at 6:50 a.m. instead of 7:40 a.m.
