BEIRUT — According to its daily report, the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip announced that at least 68 bodies of Palestinians killed have been brought to the enclave's hospitals over the last 24 hours, reports Al-Jazeera.

These figures include two people killed in previous Israeli attacks, whose bodies were retrieved from the rubble.

At least 182 people have been injured by the Israeli army during the same period.

According to medical sources cited by Reuters, at least 20 people were killed and 200 injured near an aid distribution point in Rafah, in the south of the besieged enclave. This is the latest incident in a series of deadly shootings that have cost the lives of hundreds of Palestinians trying to obtain food, since the launch of the new distribution system via the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), supported by the United States and Israel.

This brings the official number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip to 55,432 since the start of the Israeli offensive against the enclave in October 2023, with approximately 128,923 injured.

Among them, at least 5,139 have been killed and 16,882 injured since March 18, the date when Israel broke the ceasefire agreed upon in January with Hamas.
